Posr-Mastectomy Review Hello. Yesterday I had a preventive mastectomy with reconstruction. I wore my pink shirt to the hospital. Medical staff were quite impressed with the shirt and thought it was cute. I’ll be living in these shirts for a few weeks during drain management. Glad I ordered two shirts. I chose an XL size for comfort. It’s very oversized and comfortable. The drain pockets provide more comfort than having the them attached to the compression bra. Lifesaver After having my drains safety pinned to the hospital gown during my stay there I was in so much pain and the pulling on the drains was driving me over the edge. Wonderful Shirt! I actually purchased two shirts from two different websites, so honestly, I don’t remember which shirt this one was, but they both had The Recovery Shirt labels on them. I had a bilateral mastectomy and had four drains, so the four pockets on the shirts were wonderful. I would agree with some of the reviews I read, if the inside of the pockets had a satin or some kind of slick lining, it would have been perfect. One of the shirts I got had velcro fasteners, the other had snaps. I liked the snap shirt much better. I really liked the material on that shirt a little better as well, as it was more like a t-shirt. I would have liked to have a long-sleeve shirt, as I stayed a little cool since I was wearing them in the middle of winter. The belts that the hospital provided worked okay, but having the pockets in the shirts were so much more comfortable and convenient. My doctors’ staff were all impressed with the shirts, too. I highly recommend at least two, if not three!

A Blessing I purchased 2 each of these in 2 sizes. They are the only ones my daughter wore for the first 2 weeks after mastectomy. She said they were ultra soft, lightweight, and comfortable.
